It has made visitation much smoother with little to no inmate movement. It has allowed inmates to visit family and friends from all over the country. It made working through the pandemic much smoother as inside visits had been canceled. Request forms are no longer a paper monster, and we can serve the population in a timely manner compared to before. Cidnet has helped with the safety monitoring of inmates. Since we have started using this system, we have stopped threats of attacks, escapes, fights, and other safety issues like the overall health of the inmates. I personally love the investigation tab and that we can assist other agencies in obtaining offender recordings. We have utilized the Voice, Video, and Mail apps to assist in other cases that we otherwise would have had no knowledge of the inmate being involved in. Cidnet has also taken the place of our in-person visitation, freeing up staff time and making it easier to monitor; in addition, the inmates like being able to speak with and see family members any time during their “out” hours instead of just one day per week.

There are many things I like about Cidnet. First off, it gives the inmates access to voice and video CUEs and the option to put in requests and grievances in the privacy of other inmates. I also like how easy it is for detention officers to manage the website. Screening an inmate’s contact list is an important part of the safety of the facility.

Cidnet is extremely liked at our jail because of how useful it is. It allows inmates to conduct visits and messaging services on their own accord, fill out various forms digitally, message numerous Government offices, and allows us to monitor everything with ease. Having everything organized and accessible anywhere in the jail on our end is extremely convenient. Cidnet is an extremely useful tool, and I would recommend it to any correctional facility.

The first thing I noticed would have to be the system. It’s user friendly for the inmates, as well as the officers. Being able to to receive grievance forms directly to your phone or laptop. Has shortened the response time officers can reply. Also the visual aspect of the systems interface. Looks very up to date unlike our previous platform. I’m looking forward to learning what more we can do with this system as our Detention Center grows with Cidnet through the years.
